A small addendum...
Speaking as a veteran with two tours of the Middle East, I think I should mention just one small point to our friends on the right wing.

We're happy to hear from opposing viewpoints - however, random spewings of racism, homophobia and bile from our teabagging friends will be tossed in the landfill, next to the mouldering corpse of Sarah Palin's political career. And anonymous comments have ended for a while. (My stalker was boring me.)
There's an old saw about the Generals always fighting the last war. Politicians seem to be fighting the one before that and to a Republican, every Democrat is "weakening the military" regardless and usually in spite of the facts.
ReplyDeleteIn fact all Republican campaigns seem to be mostly paint by 'the numbers' exercises with many if not all of the accusations more true of them than of their opponents. The paintings of course, tend to be historical allegories.
