Probably saw them on Maddow.<br /><br />I get a kick out of following the Mudflats blog out of Alaska; they skewer the homefolks better than us commoners from the Lower 48 can do. Which reminds me to point out: if anyone thinks Alaska politicians can speak for the rest of the country, they need to spend a little more time getting acquainted with Alaska. No state taxes, AND...Every property owner in the state, regardless of length of residence, partakes of the Permanent Fund, which distributes of average of $1000 annually to EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE HOUSEHOLD! So, we were stationed there and bought a house right away in late September 1988. Thereafter, we received FOUR permanent fund checks annually until we PCS'd out in '91.
